Whole-House Rewiring — Safe, Code-Compliant, Future-Ready

Old wiring, constant trips, or remodeling? A full rewire replaces unsafe conductors and connections, adds grounded outlets, and brings your home up to today’s code—ready for modern loads (HVAC, induction, EV, office gear).

When it’s time

  • Knob-and-tube or cloth/Romex with brittle insulation
  • Aluminum branch circuits (1960s–70s) with warm devices or flicker
  • Frequent breaker trips, buzzing outlets, or scorched covers
  • Two-prong (ungrounded) outlets and missing GFCI/AFCI protection
  • Major remodel, addition, or open-wall project

What’s included (typical scope)

  • New copper branch circuits to rooms and dedicated loads (fridge, MW, DW, laundry, bath, HVAC)
  • New grounded outlets (tamper-resistant), switches, and modern lighting circuits
  • AFCI/GFCI protection as required; bathroom/kitchen/sump/garage upgrades
  • New home runs to panel, clean terminations, labeled circuits
  • Bonding/grounding corrections; smoke/CO alarms (hardwired/interconnected)

The process

  1. On-site assessment: panel/service, attic/crawl access, wall types, load calc, hazards.
  2. Plan & written pricing after the visit: room-by-room circuit map, device counts, permit timeline.
  3. Permits & scheduling: we coordinate inspections.
  4. Rough-in: pull new cable, set boxes, staple/strap, arc & GFCI design.
  5. Trim-out: devices/fixtures, panel terminations, labeling, testing.
  6. Inspection & handoff: code sign-off, documentation, simple owner tips.

Safety & code notes

  • We replace deteriorated splices, open junctions, and back-stabbed devices.
  • Aluminum branch circuits: replace where feasible or pigtail with listed connectors.
  • Bathrooms, kitchens, exterior, garage, and unfinished spaces get GFCI; habitable areas get AFCI per code.
  • We can pair rewiring with a main panel upgrade if capacity is tight.

What to expect

  • Wall access: some cutting is typical; we keep it tidy and can coordinate patch/paint.
  • Staged work by area to minimize downtime; critical circuits kept live when possible.
  • Clear daily updates, clean site, and a labeled, photo-documented result.
